This post is exactly a month late so, happy 13 months, babe! ♥
Joko and I went to the Philippine National Museum for our first anniversary (redundancy at its finest) and I have to say that it wasn`t your typical romantic date but we managed to make every little bit of the day as lovely as possible.
Warning! Photo heavy post.. and this is just the first part.

I just had to.... |
There you have it. The first part of our anniversary photo diary. The museum was 2-buildings huge — one building for Philippine history artifacts and the other for paintings. The Philippine history artifacts building (that really isn't what it's called) was really enormous with so much stories behind every single thing you'll find in there. Although it kind of sent shivers down my spine, I guess my favorite exhibit amongst the many was the one focused on taxonomy and creatures encased in containers full of formaldehyde. Not that I like death or anything, but there`s just something magical about those animals. And did I mention they looked really cool? Check out the photo with the crustaceans and corals. Plus points for the blue lighting too.
And of course, every photo diary isn`t complete with the mandatory "this is what I wore to that occasion" photos. I, apparently, had a hard time deciding what to wear since I know we would be out in the wild — also known in Pinoy slang as #turistamode — yet I really wanted to go for a relaxed, boho look.
I ended up in an eyelet top from Apostrophe, the eternal boho staple which are the cut-off denims, sandals, a native backpack bought during Earth Day, aviator sunnies (who would forget one??), and for extra
sass, a head scarf from Herm
ès. Gosh, do I have to explain to everyone that
I was not portraying Daniel Padilla from She`s Dating The Gangster and he is not the trendsetter for it? And no, I'm not portraying a witch-doctor either.
xo
P.S. the food we had was too delicious that we forgot to take photos
hehe peace! I shall do a restaurant review on that when we go back ;)
Aw you guys look so cute together! And the paintings and glass stained windows are beautiful...thanks for sharing them :) I'm posting a travel diary of a museum I went to recently too! :)
